The Sylvia is an eight floor hotel that was built in the early 20th century.  The building is covered with ivy.  This image is of the hotel and the ivy just as the colors are changing in mid September.

A residence on the Kootenay river across from Taghum.  This residence has been built on a finger of land extending out into the Kootenay river.  This is an idyllic location.

During a recent visit in B.C. I found this bear perched in a plum tree feeding.  He spent a good 45 minutes selecting the choice plums and devouring them.  When he finished he simply climbed out of the tree and walked away.

The historical Java Shop in Fort Macleod, Alberta.  This was the greyhound bus line's breakfast/dinner stop in past years.  It is now an antique store.
